Switzerland was among the first countries to recognize Belarus’s independence, and we have maintained diplomatic relations since 1992. Much has happened since then, and we currently find ourselves in a situation that strongly limits our cooperation.
This makes it all the more important now that we listen to one another, maintain dialogue, and cooperate wherever we still can. In doing so, I also want to look to the future and be ready when new opportunities arise. I thank all of you who are accompanying and supporting me in this endeavor.
